Grass House are now a London based band who we’ve seen live a few times now. Menacing vocals with obvious comparison to Tom Waits or Nick Cave but these guys are accomplished musicians in their own right. Great lyrics, musicianship and performers.
Azealia Banks has been creating hype on blogs all over the place of late thanks to her recent track 212. However, this new one produced by Lunice shows off her flow and exposes her to be unique in her style. Session lined up and looking forward to having her perform in the cab!
A few new tunes that we’re very excited about at BCS. First, Chet Faker. A guy from Australia we’ve posted about before but it sounds like he’s really tightening up on his sounds and we’re mad excited about his album…
This late summer we’re having in London has meant we can still listen to such gems as this one. I want some Rum….
I ran into someone on the street who i knew last night and it was just awkward. We chatted rubbish for a while, both trying to remember each others names. We both promised to call and meet up for a beer which we clearly have no intention of doing. I wish i could be as cool as Ghost Dog and RZA in that situation. Short and sweet. Thats it….
I love to keep Black Cab Sessions as musically wide open as possible. I really want to get in some of the guys from Jamaica who have been so influential in the worlds music. Not least the mighty Ninjaman who is currently in jail waiting to be tried for murder?! Anyway, if he ever came through London, i’d want him to do this tune
